The other day I was in a shop and I found this beautiful piece of bismuth. For those of you who don't know, bismuth when grown in labs (and very occasionally, in nature), forms these amazing cubic crystals that sort of spiral inwards. In addition, it's metalic with irridescent shades of blue, yellow, and pink. The stuff is great. Anyhow, I couldn't help getting this piece. Then, as I turned it over in my hands, I sort of saw how it could be a ziggurat-like city. So I decided to experiment with a bit of photomanipulation. The forest I got entirely from one little bush I happened to find in the corner of a picture I'd scanned to my computer earlier. It's amazing how few pictures of trees I actually had. Well, they turned out looking very wind tossed, so I thought "Why not have it in the middle of a storm?" I hope the rain effect isn't too cheesy.
