Description
Ushijima Wakatoshi was one stoic boyfriend, alright. No matter how hard you tried, none of your actions seemed to get noticed by him.
You'd tried everything, really.
It started off with the normal, small things. Handing him a bottle of water during practice, holding his hand and intertwining your fingers with his as you walked home together or making bento for him.
All you got were barely audible thank yous or small grunts of appreciation. No smile, no kiss, nothing. Ziltch.
After sometime, your grew more determined. And with determination there was boldness.
You started placing small kisses on his knuckles or jaw, hugging him or caressing his cheek as you gave him your most dazzling smile that would make any other man melt.
Apparently any man, except the one who mattered the most; your own boyfriend.
There was a bit of progress and you were slightly happy. He would say his thank yous loud enough without you having to strain yourself trying to hear him or a small, gentle pat on the head. Once, you thought you had seen a smile but you weren't sure if you were imagining it or not.
But it wasn't enough and your patience was wearing out. It was time to go all out.
One day, you were over at his place and as he studied, you bravely straddled him, your hands behind his neck, smirking at him.
The guy had the audacity to ignore you by resting his chin on your shoulder and continued reading his notes. You had been expecting some blush and shyness but no, he just continued with his studying.
You couldn't step down now. No, giving up was not an option.
You took this as an opportunity.
You leaned down until your lips were a few centimeters away from his ear.
"Let's do something fun," you breathed out in your most seductive voice. You felt him tense underneath you and inwardly smirked.
Finally.
"I have to study, (Name), and so do you." He said, the tension leaving as soon as it came.
That's it.
You let out an exasperated sigh and got off him, grabbing your bag before turning to head out.
Just as the door creaked open, a hand shut it closed. You turned around and found Ushijima, still sitting on his chair (you wondered why you hadn't heard the rolling of its wheels), looking up at you with a weird expression in his eyes.
Was that... guilt?
"What?" You questioned, crossing your arms, putting on your best 'I'm annoyed with you' look.
The ace got up and went over to his computer. A slow song suddenly played through the speakers.
You raised an eyebrow at him.
"I can't dance." He deadpanned.
You blinked in surprise before bursting into laughter.
"Is this your apology?" You asked, amused. You didn't give him a chance to answer as you closed the distance between him and yourself in a flash.
Your lips crashed into his, and for once he worked with you, kissing you back, stronger and confident. Your hands tangled in his hair and you pulled him closer, his grip on your waist tightened.
You chuckled as you pulled away.
"Apology accepted," you said, smirking.
Suddenly, he ducked his head down and placed kisses along your jaw and neck.
You were taken completely by surprise as his lips moved against your skin.
"You really drive me up the wall," he said, his voice husky.
And well... let's just say the two of you didn't progress with your studies that night.
