it's a crap scan of it. and my first watercolor landscape. totally bs'd my trees.but i like painting; i just started taking it a couple months ago.
for a landscape, i really like looking at those Arizona magazines. fo'rizzle.

The colours and shapes are so beautiful in this. I especially like the shapes of the rocks and how they contrast the textures of the trees

may I ask, when you paint something like this, in what order did you paint certain aspects, eg. trees first, or path first etc.

depends on what colors and shapes are in the composition. I block out the overall shapes in light washes to get the harder edges for the rocks, the cliff, and the trees in the back. I don't really have an order for painting, I work all over the picture. but I will sharpen renderings on what I decide is more of the focal point.
