Description
There is not much of a summer season on a subtropical island, as if there were not much of time at all. The days fly and the sun only sets to rest for a moment for us to breathe out and lean close to the things that were too far in the blazing time. When you clasp hands with silence and stand still, long enough for the little waves around your legs to get used to your presence, they will wrap like a warm blanket around your heart.My eyes were always fixed to a different kind of wisdom. But it was when I was freezing in darkness, that I began to wish for this blanket and your timeless light to warm me when I lean close to you at the end of my road.

man, i really do wish that you do an illustration book of your photos (and your Sora), with what you write. i really like what you've written. do you prefer writing seriously? like stuff containing all the words. i like to see one.

Ohh my. This is wonderful! It emits the exact feeling that you seem to have pinned to it; relief, an exhale, a contented sigh at the end of a long day... it's really the perfect companion to the other image of yours that I believe was from the same photo shoot... "Light on the Water" I think it was called.
Whereas that one was like holding your breath- waiting for something to happen, this one is like the release- the sigh of relief as you are welcomed home again. I especially love how the tree branches seem to be reaching out for Riku, and the light shines, as if this place that he shunned will still hold him close at the end of the day.
Your descriptions are so fantastic, I just cannot stop loving your writing! I love how this one carried through Riku's perception of the Islands and had a "before" and then "after" tone to it... and then it all came back around to the real source- the reason he sought the Islands after all... his home, his sky, his Sora.
I like to think that "the end of my road" will become something like "the beginning of our road," and that the end of one adventure will still leave the promise of another beginning.
On a more technical note, I have to say that whatever flattening technique you used here looks amazing; if I didn't already know better I would think you were a guy! (and a handsome one at that, if you don't mind me saying ^^-)
