I'm the same way as you. See, heres what i'm hoping, never read any comics so I dont' know, but I think that the "treatment" wares off (or rather HOPING!) and she'll be as good as new!

Well, it was insinuated at the end of the movie that the effect of the 'cure' is transitory, cause Magneto was getting his power back in the after-credits clip. Which cracks me up because can you imagine Rogue getting her powers back in the middle of riding Bobby? BWahahahahaha!

That would be creepy.... though it didn't look like she was with him after that.... OMG! I remember that now!!.. that's right! He was moving the chess peice again! I remember that know... but it was so feeble, which means the "cure" slowly stops working, I guess when they get immune or soemthing, and their powers come back... which people should think about because it's only when your around the boy that it works which means it's NOT perminant... but I have to admit that I DID see that part, but I forgot about it... I only remember when Proffesor X was in the hospital scene, and I thought THAT was the after credits clip.. I think Magnito is atthe very end of the movie..... yes..... so I'll look it up and send a link, because I know that any X-men fan would LOVE to see that scene. I do, so I'll send it to you anywyas... THEN WE CAN BRAINSTORM ON IF THEY GO THROUGH WITH MAKING THE 4TH MOVIE!! WHAT MIGHT BE SEEN IN IT!! (other than that the main cast might not be in it...) (I wouldn't see it if that happened).. but that also makes me wonder about Misquete (I don't know how to spell it) and don't some of them die?? IN the comics?? I know that Cyclops died.. and one guess why... he was in Superman Returns... but then Pheonix dies... and i htink that in the future or something they die or something and ahve to go through time to stop that from happeneing or something like that... but I'm not really sure... so if you know anything about the Comics please tell me... because they virtually always follow the basic plot line.... and sorry if I got off topic....
But would that mean the WHOLE mutant population would get their powers back? Or maybe only the really STRONG ones... maybe Magnitos powers WEREN'T fully gone, because he was so powerful. He said it himself. There are 5 classes, and Jean was the ONLY class 5 (or was it 6) in a LONG time... and I don't know if... but I think the proffesor was only 4... like Magnito himself... and I think Rouge would be class 3.... (because there was a Mutant who could tell) but I think we could find out... if we watched the thing again. Do they have the after credits scene on there???? I hope so.... but then, I do think Magnitos scene was at the end of the movie.... becuase it showed him give it a TINY shake (so maybe it was how powerful he was or he was slowly getting his powers back; one of those) and then it went to the credits... but I saw it didn't have the speeck Jean Gray gave in the other two... oh well... I like the childhood bit... but some are saying the next movie is due to the ending that left space for another one (I'm guessing it's talking about Magnitos powers and all) and others are saying it's becuase of the ending nobody saw (and by nobody they mean not many) and that's why... what do you think?

In the comics Rogue is pretty damned powerful. I think she could take down Magneto and Xavier, and they're the strongest mutants around. The only mutants she couldn't take on are the ones that have powers that negate hers (and there were a couple in the comics).
I think with the third movie they totally abandoned the comics storylines. In the comics, Rogue had way more powers and was dating Gambit. They didn't even bother with that in the movies.
I know they did leave the last X-Men movie ending open in case they wanted to do another one. At the moment they're doing spin-off character driven ones. I think, if they don't do amazingly well, they might just go back to making ensemble superhero pieces. The movies are HUGE revenue and publicity for Marvel and I don't see them giving up on the cash cow that is the Superhero Movie too soon. It might take some years though.
There's a new Wolverine movie on the way - I look forward to it!

Well.... they weren't going to do a spin off at first, but I thinkthey all get there powers back, or the POWERFUL ones do... oh well, we'll find out now won't we...
