quick drawing of a skeleton I did between 2 classes in the drawing studio. I wanted to draw the model who was there, but the class was so freakin packed that I just dug into a corner of the room and drew what I could access

I absolutely love this, how some areas are really detailed and the smudgy outline.
what type of charcoal do you use? is it in pencil form or just a stick? I wanna try to get into charcoal drawings.

this particular drawing was done using both charcoal pencils and vine charcoal sticks. Pretty soon after this drawing I also got into powdered charcoal, which is also awesome.

I love all your work. I like the line that you use to accent the forms and create negative space. Is this on arches as well? Just bought a sheet today. Cannot wait to try it out.

yup that's arches
It is a fairly textured paper though, so you may or may not like it. If you want something with a little less tooth I would suggest BFK Rives (you'll most likely find it right next to Arches paper)
