Description Cosplayer and costume: Me -

Photographer: JS Roux (THANK YOU for the awesome shot )

This was taken at the Parc de l'Ile de la Visitation.

A quiet, peaceful moment for San. The break in battles is doing both her and the Kodama some good.

So far, this is my absolute favourite cosplay of mine! It is suuuuuuper comfortable! And San is just SUCH an awesome character. I am very pleased with my revamped version of it - the apron is made of a rough linen that my theatre teacher was giving away for free (I gladly took it off her hands) and the "tooth" necklace actually goes all the way around my neck with little wooden beads in the middle. I also (finally) have the mask. I won 2 awards at Anime North 2012 in the Novice Category with this cosplay: Best Character Recreation (workmanship award) and Best Characterization (masquerade award). I am very proud of this costume. Any bits that do not look 100% consistent with Miyazaki's film are because San strikes me as a child of the forest and I wanted this costume to be as natural as possible.
