is it a manticore? is it a chimera? kinda both!

I've run into bad habits with color balance over the years - I use too many clashing colors and making everyone's eyes hurt *allegedly* ...ok tru. So I'm going to try taking a chill pill on that and stick to a smaller number of hues and contrasts in the future to see how that goes. Hopefully fewer eyes will bleed while also keeping the entertainment value up haha.

I might post the concept art process on this guy later too.
