alucard from hellsing. I'm crap at colouring without outlines, so there is a whole bunch of stuff wrong with it, heh.I like the grittiness and uglyness of the anime series, the ova seems to have toned that down a little.
A question for people who have read the manga (I haven't), from what you've seen of the ova, is it better or worse than the manga?

well, you can watch the subtitled version online at veoh.com (just gotta enter it into the search), they have a lot of shows that get removed from youtube

i LOVE it. I've never read Hellsing. But that pic makes me want to! It's so... as you said, gritty. I could never get that much detail on the computer(im an old style pen and paper artist! i only really color stuff on photoshop). AMAZING! it reminds me a little of venom from spiderman. The venom in the comics, not the lousy movie

the manga anatomy totally threw me off, the guy who did it hasn't taken any classes in anatomy (you can tell)
but the one thing that irked me about the manga was the Anderson guy, in one panel his head was really small and his body was really big and his arms were too long, it's worse than a chibi with their heads too big.
sorry for the rant but I liked the little bit of the anime I saw more than the comic. But what ever you like

i've read the manga pretty thoroughly and i LOVE the OVA, it's very well done and it's nice seeing alucard and anderson in battle. the movements are animated so well

Interesting. :] I like how it came out, expecially the emblem on the gloves, Alucard was a great character.
I've only read the first manga of the series, so I probably can't judge too adequately whether or not its better than the OVA. It is interesting though.
