I couldnt decide if I should make him a drow, or an elf, so hes just one of the two, whichever one you prefer I guess. I was more focused on trying to make a decent looking face than what he was doing, he sort of has a surprised expression but nothing to be surprised at .... oh well... I'd say I would add that in later but we all know when you finish drawing somthing and say your gona add somthing in later it never happens

outstanding details on the robes and just...well the whole thing in general
there is one reason why this character wouldnt be Drow though (aside from the color of the skin...) and thats the fact that the socioty that the Drow live under would not allow the male to have any type of position of power and they really dont like them wielding magic or other things that give the idea of haivng power of any sort....of course this is comming from one who knows more about Fantasy stuff in general than the Drow...so if someone can correct me, please do so
in any event, i like the effects youve created on the sword and the readied spell. the detail that youve put into this is outstanding....i wish i could apply that to my stuff. wonderful job man

Well Drow males are expected to be fighters or mages (fighter/mage is a common multiclass) so thats not entirely correct. They even have mage as their favoured class I believe! powerful females are typically clerics of Llolth I think.

Hmmm... I think (I don't have ready access to my 3.0/3.5 material so I can't be 100% sure) that the male Drow's favored class is fighter. The female's is Clerc however.
And this is not to say that a male could not be a wizard or some such, but males in Drow society are not permitted to have power, or if they *do* have power it is fleeting at best, as pretty much any female would outrank him.
