Intriguing piece, interesting setting, and a well-designed character! The shading of the background definitely has a lot of detail in it, but not so much that it overpowers the main features of the vampire in the foreground. The little additions (such as the bats, tombstones, and trees) are good, typical symbols of the night vampire culture. It is also visually pleasing instead of either leaving the space behind her blank, or creating some highly diverse scenery--as that would only serve to distract the audience from the main focus.
Moving on to the vampire herself; she is spectacular. The smoldering kind of mischievous smirk and the crimson eyes really pull my attention in to her face. I must say, it was clever leaving most of the image in black-and-white, then adding colors to the more important objects. That is a classic technique for making your viewers look where you want them to. The outfit she is wearing has an older quality to it, which assists in emphasizing the fact she doesn't fit in today's society--if the fangs weren't enough to do that! She has life to her, despite being dead. She is truly an independent character that appears to have a deep background.
All in all, good job with this piece!
