Hello,This is a very recent work of mine. I didn't paint such a project since ages, but I'm very pleased by the result. It feels good to be able to spend some time again on new creations.
I've been inspired by a tree in Ireland, who was seen as one of the protector of some lands.
As usually, I used Photoshop. It tooks me about 5 hours, the Original is in 4K.

Incredible work Nat, as always. You've done a fantastic job of capturing how the rough texture on the bark should look while being true to the style of artwork that you chose. The grass crawling up the tree along the dirty roots must have been a particular challenge, yet you did a great job on them. Most people might have left them off, not seeing the value of taking the extra time to put them in, yet it enhances the work to near reality. The color palette was well-chosen and the whimsical nature of the work, a single tree in a peaceful green field, brings a calming, desirable aspect. This is a place everyone would or should want to go, to lean against this tree and think, or rest in its shade, or simply stand and marvel at it.
Congratulations on completing a great master piece!
