Here's a theory that might (or might not) blow your mind: Boruto is the reincarnation of Jiraiya! You see, both don't want to become Hokage, and Jiraiya went outside the village to investigate, just like Sasuke currently does, and Boruto wants to be like him!

I dont quite see the logic in it. If Jiraiya was reborn as Boruto. Wouldnt he lean more towards Naruto? I dont recall him being interested in the dark side ó.0

I can't remember which volume, but according to my research, it was on Chapter 159, where Jiraiya stated he would not hesitate to kill Tsunade if she decided to help Orochimaru.
