Description HI, Well what do ya know...It's not raining out today!!!!

HAPPY MOTHER"S DAY to all you Mom's out there!!!!

I went to the marsh today to check on the pair of Geese that had a nest out near my blind # 1. I was really happy to see that over the past 2 - 3 days, the little ones had hatched out! I love these little geese, and hope to get lots of cool pics of them over the next few weeks before they get to that "ugly" stage.
Β Dad and Mom wouldn't bring them in any closer than the shots that I got....Β  Enjoy! The rebirth of the marsh life!....

Oh, what an adorable shot! Gosh I do love seeing baby geese in spring, the Greylags here are always so early. Already there's pretty big babies running after their mothers out there... definitely past the cute stage. Real nice to see this family together

Hi Synari!, Thank you!
Β  It did the heart good to see these little ones after the long winter and the rotten weather for the past few weekends.

I hear ya...alot of heavy rain lately. The resident mallard ducks here have disappeared/stopped visiting...likely on the nest or raising the little ones somewhere else already. You're right though...it's nice to see new life after the long winter...and some days there's nothing much going on activity wise.

Yup, the Mallards are keeping the little ones hidden. They do this for the first 4 - 5 days, then they will come out of the weeds and you'll start seeing them.

I need to clear my schedule and get out of the city and relax a bit. I'm sure the baby geese have hatched here too.
