Description
Hi, I was kinda bored yesterday.. we had no real sun, and intermittent periods of a light rain move through.
So I just plastic bagged the camera with my 70 - 300mm lens and took a walk around my friend Marshall's farm fields.
I saw this group of 4 Deer, as they were sneaking across his lower back field. There's a drainage ditch that is about 6 feet lower than the field that cuts across the middle, and these Deer were just entering it. It's kinda funny, they didn't know I was there, and they kept looking back (to the right).. so Hmmm something was moving them. About 2 minutes after they went into the ditch, and I lost sight of them, a Coyote comes out of the wood line, following the Deer's path. I didn't shoot any pics of it, as you could only make out the head as it moved down the ditch edge. It wasn't a big one, so the deer were safe.. I'm pretty sure of that, as they need a group of at least 3 or 4 to bring down a Deer.
Enjoy this brief encounter
