Acrylic on wood / I worked this up from an earlier fountain pen sketch nausetsouth.deviantart.com/art… which itself referenced an iconic Paul Wolff photo of Frankfurt Germany in the 1930's. www.pinterest.com/pin/47231507… After reading Phillip Kerr's Bernie Gunther novels, I felt the image nailed Bernie's vibe. The novels cover the fictional Gunther''s life from his time in the trenches of WWI through his service as a Berlin detective, WWII and The Cold War. berniegunther.com/Related content
