Thorn

“Prince Klaus,” He exclaimed hoarsely as the air fled his lungs. “Forgive me, my prince, I didn’t expect that it would be you. I thought I’d never see you again.”
As he spoke, he knelt, almost fell into a deep bow on both forelegs, tucking his head low. In his previous life, when he had known Klaus before, he never would have addressed him in such away… but now- the pride he’d had was stripped bare, all knew knew now was to bend to superiority.

“Don’t do that here!” he whispered in a sharp, hoarsely voice as he jumped to his paws, imploring his cousin to rise from his bow. His eyes darted across their surroundings, searching for any possible witnesses that may have been lurking in the bushes. “It’s not Prince. Not here.”

Thorn counted the cries of the crows as they cawed back an forth from unseen branches overhead. He walked robotically out from the Nest toward the pond near which he’d been instructed to find his trainer, who would mentor him in his new Vektreni task.
He had lost count of the days, the months he’d stayed in the pits of Vektren’s reeducation “program”. Or was it years? He vaguely remembered a wolf that had been from Highvalley’s Highbloods, an undefeated warrior with nothing but confidence and conceit filling him to the brim… had that really been him? He supposed it must have been, they were his memories, after all. Vektren had succeeded in erasing that creature. What walked out from the Nest was a thing, not a wolf. He was a husk; a shell that needed filling with purpose. Vektren’s purpose, he supposed. But he didn’t

A collab with the incredibly talented Ramala of our characters Klaus and Thorn of a scene from the above RP! Ram was so much fun to work with, she has such wonderful backgrounds and her shading techniques are beautiful. I'm very excited for the relationship between Klaus and Thorn to develop.
