Description A collection of sketches from as far back as late last year, to as early as yesterday. Since studying human anatomy, my animal anatomy sketches have gotten better. It's a nice feeling. The top images are more recent than the bottom ones, generally speaking. To keep up to date on my sketches check out my  Tumblr

As you can probably tell, I really enjoy drawing my character Hakim.  

Ok! I hope you enjoy the sketches. I'm hoping to get more personal artwork done over the summer.

Agreed! There are so many beautiful styles out there.

Just keep practicing! Study human anatomy first and then move onto animal anatomy. Once you understand human anatomy, your animal anatomy will improve. I guarantee it. I posted something on my Tumblr about that a few days ago. Steps you can take to improve anatomy.

In the end it's just practice. When I first started drawing wolves, I drew them like horses. It was terrible! Hahaha...

But I guess you are correct. I can see the similarities. 

Heh I will try to work on Humans. They are a ton harder though... as i am sure you already know

Yeah. Well we are humans so we can relate to humans. Once you understand human anatomy, you can relate that to animal anatomy. Our anatomy is pretty much the same. It's just the proportions that are different for the most part. So yeah, I would definitely recommend it!

They are, but as an artist it's important to know it no matter what you want to draw. I came to this realization pretty recently and am kicking myself for not realizing it sooner.
