Here is another Pokemon post. Unlike the Sylveon art, this is far more recent (started up a couple of months ago). I felt like drawing art of one of my favorite Pokemon, Umbreon! But with a shiny twist.

This is fanart of my Shiny Umbreon, Nightlight, who I captured as a wild Eevee back in the late Sun and Moon days. I haven't ported him to Switch because I'm not paying an obsessively lazy company for their ripoff service (I don't support modern game devs.) Plus, it doesn't feel for Nightlight to be randomly owned by some strange kid he has no bond with. I could just hunt for another Umbreon in any of the Switch games if I really want to.

I always envision Umbreon to be rather foxlike, so I based his anatomy on them. As you can see, I added a few personal touches to his design to make him stand out as an individual, with the blue nose and paw pads. It's unfortunately hard to see, but he sports some blue claws, too.

I was going to add a background, but I felt it would defeat the purpose of making him the main focus, so I left it at that instead, which I'm honestly glad about. Backgrounds are annoying at times, and sometimes, I just wanna draw something simple.

Umbreon belongs to the vampiric company known as The Pokemon Company/GameFreak.
