Gosh! What a great image!
You should know an italian artist called Stefano Ricci (I mean for the style of this picture, not necessarily for the idea)
It's so touching! The layers are tense and cutting deep, the colour is good and the eyes of the figure.... the eyes...
A great work - as great is the gallery itself, I will take more than one look at every single piece, you have great talent.
See you (soon)

shaka?

hmm... yeah what does this remind me of... for some reason it reminds me of radiohead... mixed in with some easter island effigy...

above all, i love the energy of the strokes...its like a scratch and win lottery ticket--first excitement, then severe disappointment, then reflection, then denial, then you buy another ticket... like that old crazy lady... or the fat guy at mcdonalds.

well said,
ever heard of nibiru ?

where did you get (how did you create) the name Nebu ?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

nebu In reply to solarisdezine [2004-11-03 14:15:31 +0000 UTC]

what is nibiru? Never heard that before.
Nebu is an ancient egyptian word meaning gold or golden. It is also the title of a novel "Nebu the Golden Scribe" Since I am also a published poet it seemed to fit. I also just like the word

* I just posted a note on Nibiru in my journal, but this is most of it

Does Planet-X exist ?
Planet-X is supposed to be the planet after pluto, a planet that enters our solar system every 3600 years! The name given to this planet by the Summarians was Nibiru. It's supposed to be a burning planet with many moons, therefore it was drawn by the Summarians on tablets in the shape of a disc with wings (fire) and moons around it (these drawings show our complete solar system and also include Pluto, which was only discovered by us modern man, in 1930 using a telescope).

People (or advanced creatures) from this planet were called 'The Annunaki' (by the Summarians), and it seems they could have made us who we are, the thinking kind of man. Genetic manipulation ? Cross breeding ? More info at xfacts.com or search for Nibiru in Goolgle

i agree with you.
this work is really nice,it kinda reminds me of radiohead's "the bends" cover album, but mixed with something TOOL-ish. dont know how to express this... looks like he's got a halo...
once again, love the colours and the textures...

I love this. The texture and colors are wonderful. Just lovely. The space left to the right leaves the user space for icons or a buddylist without marring the art...... lovely job.

This one is so wonderful.. at the first it make me remember the statues in Easter Island..
it as a bit of sorrow, sadness, but also a bit of hope.. like an old man that hopes to be a child everyday he wakes up.
(hope your mother gets better)

it's been so long since I check devArt..I hate not having the time for it anymore... this is beautiful. I love the 2dness of it.. the swirls and colors provide and anonymoty that is really neat. Great work..I'm glad to see that you're still putting out great stuff.

this is, hands down, one fo u strongest pieces. you have a knack for more loose realistic pieces, you should do more with these types of pieces.
