Oh rastor...fff. I think it cracked the table. Quick question, judging by the tongs, what did he do to forge the journal? Unless that's leather or something.

He just forged the hinges to the metal cover and spine.
The pages on the inside are made out of a non-flammable material similar to paper.

Yeah... but only because he thinks that she likes him. Her spitefulness toward Fynley makes it seem like she's awfully nice to him. So in this comic, he's trying to please her.
Once they have an awkward conversation that basically confirms that Amelia does not like him that way, his little spark of interest quickly expires.

Also, just remembered, I really like how you colored this one. The lighting, too, is especially nice. It adds to the slightly ominous atmosphere.

LOL I STILL CAN'T EVEN FATHOM HOW HE MANAGED TO MAKE A JOURNAL USING FLAME WITHOUT IGNITING SAID JOURNAL. TRULY, RASTOR IS A GENIUS OF EPIC PROPORTIONS.
ALSO. Totes love the perspective on the second to last panel. It adds so much depth to the page. Like. Augh. Beautiful. And the sizzling steam that comes from the tongs/journal is also quite satisfying.
AND. The fact that Amelia says NOTHING and communicates her feelings about this journal entirely through facial expression is a huge kudo to you, mister sir. -super wink-
