my entry for MGC [link] (go enter! hurry!!) for those of you who don't know, the Maori are the Polynesians of New Zealand. My dad when on his mission to New Zealand and a painting on black velvet was one of the things he brought back. He didn't learn much Maori (the language) except he can tell you "when the pig is full he sleeps". anyway, i didn't imitate the original painting too closely because I didn't feel I could do it justice and that I could just dishonor the original artist.Prismacolor on black... hmm... trust me, it looks better on paper than scanned.
