Christmas for my three-year-old cousin. If it looks like something from My Little Pony--that's 'cause it basically is. Took the pony pattern I've been working on and turned it into a deer.Chose to make a deer partially as a gag. His dad hunts, and apparently the kid has gotten the idea of what happens during a hunt. His mom told us a story about him going to the petting zoo and making "pow pow!" motions at the baby deer they had there (much to her horror, lol.)
Unfortunately he didn't try to shoot the deer when he unwrapped it. xDD I would have lul'd into eternity.
Made of...I'm not sure what, actually. It wasn't minky or fleece.

That is such a cute story. Heh my little cousin is the opposite, when he sees an animal get hurt he cries. He saw a deer get shot on TV and cried and went on about it for days.

Haha, aww! I'm actually hoping that if he gets attached to the plush, it might help him think of deer as...sympathetic creatures? Not quite sure how to phrase it, haha. I'm not against hunting or anything (as long as a people eat what they kill), but still seems important to me to respect the creature.

Cute little guy too XD The funny thing is, the G4 my little ponies look like deer to begin with, considering they're HUGE ears. (For good reason though, they're much more expressive in the new cartoon)

Hmm, nope, not microsuede either! It was material that I used to make a robe on a commissioned doll (that I haven't posted yet) so it wasn't the usual plushy-making stuff.

True! How detailed do you mean? I thought of putting little white spots to show shininess, but I was in a major time crunch, lol. Or were you thinking more detailed? With pupils and irises and such?

Either or, to be honest. x3 It could be realistic or just white spots to show dimension and depth. Oooh understood, I still love it since I'm a beginner mori girl.
