-Backstory:
---Like all other Pandorans, Arrian was born not knowing who his parents were, and just like all the others he trained to better hone his skills. For the first 10 years of his life, things went normally and smoothly. He was a natural with his Earth element, and even had a signiture move. He called it Terra Boom. It was performed by charging as fast as he could across the ground, then at the peak of his speed he would leap into the air, flip, and land with great force on the ground! The shear force of the landing would cause the ground around him to warp up and trail out in a circular wave that would knock down opponents as well cause a sonic boom to roar out across the sky. He was very proud of his technique and his elemental trainer in the clan honored him for the original idea of it. And at a mere age 11, he completed the Trials of a Warrior, and recieved his Pandoran Crest...

One sunny afternoon he was basking in the warm sunshine when he heard a familiar voice call out to him. He turned to see Nokata approaching him. She was three years younger than he was, but she was one of his best friends.

"Oh, hey there Nokata. What brings you up here?" Arrian asked.

"Not much, I just wanted to know if you'd like to come with me and a few of my friends..." She walked about and had a look on her face that was somewhat devious. "You see... We're gonna go up to Crystal Crag Peak, and go inside Dragon Fang Cave..." She said with a grin. Arrian jumped to his feet!

"Are you crazy?! Not only did the Elders tell us NEVER to go into that cave, but it's supposed to be......... Haunted..." Arrian said with caution.

"What the Elders don't know won't hurt them... And honestly, do you really believe that place is haunted? The Elders just made that story up to keep us away from there... But I know what's inside the cave....." Nokata grinned. "Moonstones!!!" She exclaimed!

"What?! That's impossible! You and I both know that Moonstones are only found under the desert floor in a hidden cavern that only Furoes and the Elders know the entrance to. There's no way there are realy Moonstones in that cave! No way at all!" Arrian denied.

"Oh really...? Well if it's just a hoax, then why to I have this.......?" Nokata said as she pulled a small fragment of Moonstone out of her small leather pouch and held it up for Arrian to see. It was indeed a real Moonstone. Arrian could tell by the bright tourmaline blue coloration and opal-like glow. It was real!

"Where did you get that?!" He stammered.

"From Dragon Fang Cave. I went there myself about three weeks ago and I found thousands of them! So you see, it is true! Now... Are you coming with us, or not?" Nokata ased. Arrian thought for a moment... Then decided and nodded. "Great! I'll go get the others now, then we'll head out!" She said as she returned the small Moonstone fragment to her pouch and ran off. Arrian was still concerned about the stories the Elders had told them about the cave being haunted....

About 3 hours later, the small party of four were flying above Crystal Crag Peak. They carefully made their way through the craggy landscape and into Dragon Fang Cave...

"Okay everyone, follow me." Nokata said confidently. Arrian followed, but his eyes were watching every little shadow that moved in the cave. He didn't want to admit it... But he was scared to be here... The party walked deeper and deeper into the cave and for what seemed like hours they found nothing.

"Uuuhhhgggg!!! How much further Nokata?! My paws are killing me!" One of the others complained.

"We're nearly there. We just have to get past here." Nokata said. The others walked forward and their jaws dropped! At the far end of the wall was a MASSIVE collection of Moonstones! But there was an obstacle that stood between them and their stones- A BIG obstacle! It was a 50 foot long chasm that lead down into black darkness and all along the walls of it were sharp stalagtites, and the roof above the chasm was also covered with the sharp stone spears.

"PPssshhhttt! That's easy! We'll just fly right across!" The other said as he spread his wings. Nokata pinned him down immediately.

"NO! We can't fly across it!" She exclaimed.

"Why not?!" He asked.

"I'll show you why not." Nokata said as she took a solid stance and unleashed a stream of flames at the chasm. To everyone's surprise, the flames were rapidly pushed downwards into the darkness, where they exploded with great force! The chasm itself was set ablaze for a few seconds as a burning wall of fire scorched the cave walls! Then the flames died down and the chasm returned to it's peaceful stillness once again. "That's why! I found out the hard way when I came here the first time. I tried flying across and the intense force coming from the bottom of the abyss pulled me towards the darkness. I used my fire breath to try pushing myself back up, but the entire chasm is filled to the brim with natural gas. It exploded and sent me soaring across to the other side." Nokata explained.

"So what do we do...?" Arrian asked.

"I got a better question, how did YOU get back across?!" One of the others asked.

"The stalagtites." Nokata said as she leapt up towards the roof of the cave and grabbed one stalagtite after another, swinging her way to the other side. Within seconds she landed and grabbed a Moonstone. "See. Easy." She said with confidence. The other two leapt up and did the same, but much slower, leaving Arrian on the other side all by himself...

"Come on Arrian! Get over here! It's easy!" The others said. But Arrian felt his heart racing. He walked over to the edge of the chasm and peered into the darkness. A demonic wind howled somewhere at the bottom of it and he felt fear starting to grasp him...

"Don't be a chicken!" One of the others mocked. Arrian looked up at the roof and lunged for a stalagtite! He grabbed it and leapt for the next one, but something terrible happened! He came up too short and started plumetting towards the darkness!!! He screamed for help as he reached out for the stalagtites on the walls and despirately flapped his wings! It was no use! The others shouted his name but their voices got quieter and quieter as he looked down and saw the darkness swollowing him! He was filled with fear and as he was helplessly falling into the chasm he saw four glowing red eyes appear before him! He screamed in shear terror as black jaws full of row upon row of sharp teeth opened and he fell inside the monster's gaping maw!!!

As he began to open his eyes again, his vision was blurry, and his heart was racing....

"Arrian...? Are you all right....?" A voice called to him. His vision began to clear and he saw one of the Karando Clan Elders standing before him. He sat up and screamed! Then started breathing heavily! "It's okay! It's okay! Calm down Arrian!" The Elder said. Arrian looked around and saw that he was back in the clan's refuge in the infirmory.

"What- What happened? Where is the monster? How did I get here? Where's Nokata and the others?" He asked, his heart still racing.

"They're fine... But they're in big trouble..." He looked at Arrian. "As are you Arrian... You all went to Dragon Fang Cave, and you were badly hurt. You see, after you fell into the chasm, Nokata and the others rushed back here and told the Elders. I came and made my way into the chasm, and found you with a broken left wing, and three broken legs, lying at the bottom of the dark chasm. I rescued you and carried you all the way back up the passage and out of the cave. You're very lucky to be alive..." The Elder said.

"But, where was the monster that ate me...?" Arrian asked.

"There was no monster... Your fear clouded your vision and you saw the darkness as a monster... And even after your injuries had healed, you were still unconcious... Your fear had put you into a coma, and you've only just now come out of it..." The Elder said.

"Wait- How long was I asleep...?" Arrian asked...

"Almost a year......." The Elder replied. Arrian was astounded! He'd been in a coma for a whole year just from falling down that chasm...?! A whole year of his life- GONE! "Rest now... And get better.... Your mind is still clouded and you will feel better after sleep..." The Elder said, and Arrian fell quickly asleep...---
