Description
My Mael'kai character Ariea, from the Chitra Hindu zodiac.
Design: Since her sign is the most mystical of all (and psychic), i decided to create her using 2 colours which are very important in Mysticism and in use of Chakra alignment as a base for her design. Her skin colour is a light purple blue....i guess its called indigo(third eye or brow chakra), and her hair white (crown chakra). These are the 2 chakra colours which reflect her character the most. At each chakra point there is a stone or gem with the corresponding colour of those points. If you look to Ariea's brow, you may notice there is no chakra gem, instead there is the "gem or pearl mark" signifying that she is a zodiac god! Since the brow chalkra symbolizes insight, psychicabilties, and wisdom, i thought it would be cool if she didn't actually need a gem !^^
The gems also appear on her staff which is drawn at its regular size. It should be a foot and a half taller then Ariea!

* i know that chakras and such arn't used in the Mael'kai world, but i wanted to use them anyway....even though they have no real tie into the world. Ariea LOVES gems and shiny things.....she just choose to wear them like that! ^^

Personality and history

She was found as a child in a distroyed monastery by Adustum (kritta zodiac), who fought off an ES'VA'EN that was attacking her. He was surprised to find that she knew who he was and that he was a zodiac god. He was confused at first by how much she knew about him, but he soon relized that she possessed a strong mind and that she also suffered from precognitive dreams. Adustum was also shocked to find that she could channel her mind into magic barriers and energy forces (like a blast from a saff weapon from stargate only more see through and it comes out of her staff). From that day on, Adustum took care of Ariea and raised her as a magic warrior....showing her only slight fatherly affection , but instead acted as her teacher.

Hundreds of years later the two fight side by side and Arieas powers have become exceptionally powerful! She is also very intuitive, knowing where an enemy will hit , while being able to dodge quickly out of the way or place a barrier between them. This also makes her very quick, and agile, and also good backup for Adustum.
She does have minimal abilities of healing, but for the most part she can only use mind magic (ie, charm, mind magic ,channeling of mental energy into staff, can shove back appoint by invesible force! )She is also a quick thinker and is an amazing strategist coming up with excellent strategies at a seconds notice! She also has an afenity with the stars and gems, and often feels they call to her, although she doesn't understand why!

While her mind is powerful, she comes off as stuck off because of it. She doesn't talk , unless there is something worth while to talk about and when she does, many surround her to listen to what she has to say. She likes extravagant and shiny things, and it is reflected in her clothing. She is also a very kind hearted an compassionate being, even hen it seems she is being selfish, shes just trying toohelp others! She's kinda like Tamahome from Fushigi yugi in that sense (he wants alot of money, but only to help his family!). she trys to give to those who have had there lives distroyed by the enemy.

She also had a short affair with Adustum (she fell for when she was younger) , but it was short lived.....only about 20 years.....

Her "wisdom" also tends to get on Adustum's nerves!

she suffers from insomnia due to dreams

she can also hold her own in hand to hand combat.

Well, this is all i have for now....if the mystical/spiritual/magical thing isn't allowed, i completely understand....tryed to go by zodiac....but she would have to many gifts and i think to have gift of insight or seeing ablities she needs to be a priestess.....not a warrior....meh, if it needs to be changed i will do so!

This file was HUGE at one point, but then i screwed it over when i saved the large image as this smaller jpg....ERG....luckly i still have the large lineart so i can do her god form!
