Fight like a girl, right? I felt a serious shift in my style while drawing this that I kinda sorta love?? Makoto is one of my all-time favorites and though I made her look a little young, I'm really very happy with this result, it just scares me a tad that my style changed so drastically in a matter of literal actual minutes. Oh, those level of fluctuation in painting. You draw something day after day and you don't like the result, and then, after a while, take a pencil, redraw everything in few hours and see that now you are Rubens.

It seems, it needs to draw those things you love the more. Then you know where in the picture you should to put bigger effort or where it is not so need.
Coloring really means a lot. Shaded color gives new life to the same lines. I'm glad that you understood that and now you're on the right way.
It needs to add more accuracy to shapes, to point the chin more precise, to put a scrunchie behind a head - all this will come with practice. Colors are already great. People often take a black or grey color for shadow, so nice to see here colorful and bright shadows.
You may practice your painting on linearts of other people. On dA, here are many of them, so you can find at least one that you like.
