That being said, art can be such a struggle. This piece took me a forever, because I tend to forget why I make art. I do it for fun, because I enjoy drawing and because I enjoy telling stories.

It’s so easy to lose sight of that, to get too tangled up in how things ’should’ look or how skilled or talented you should be.

It took me a while to remember that, but here’s the finished piece finally. It’s not perfect, some bits still bother me, but it’s finished.

Drawing sweet, smitten people is pretty fun after all
