Last year this song got stuck in my head:Still - Alanis Morissette
It's paced to be read while listening to the song [though I did cut one verse out], and if possible, I recommend searching for the version of the song from the Dogma Soundtrack to add extra enjoyment to it [it's 6 minutes and 19 seconds long, be prepared], but you don't need to know the inspiration to enjoy the piece. it just adds a little something, I think. :3
I really wanted to make a little video about all the images running around in my head, but I have no experience in that medium, and even less free time to spare learning how to make it work...hence we have a comic instead.
I hope I managed to create something enjoyable. Feedback is appreciated, and I hope, as this is only my fifth attempt at creating a comic, I’ve shown some improvement! [And I know I still have boatloads to learn!]

This is beautiful in it's simplicity. It describes the tragedy and greatness of batman in ways I didn't even know needed to be described.

This was my first time hearing the song, and I don't think I'll ever be able to tear my association away from this concept... though I don't think I want to. Really, beautifully rendered and the execution in combination with the lyrics was beautiful. More than a little saddening, but the soft kind of reminiscent sadness. The emotional depth of this is impressive, especially for a comic. Overall, very enjoyable.

Wow. This is really amazing. Such apt descriptions of each of them. Especially, in my opinion, "joy and regret" regarding Dick. He really was. Bruce was at his lightest in the years he had Dick around, but I often believe that Bruce feels he has ruined Dick in some way? After their partnership neither of them were the same, but Dick in particular seemed a lot less light hearted. Heck, not just Dick's they ALL fit really well. And the song is awesome too!
