Hi, this is the effect of compulsive fangirling on 's awesome visual novel Frozen Essence. If you're following me on Twitter you're probably already fed up of me fangirling about it XD; The bad news is that I still have 3 paths to do hahah.Anyway so far this guy has been my fav. I actually wished for an harem ending with him and Rune but ok err nevermind.
Sadly the size is this small, I doodled it in MyPaint and while trying to get it right I forgot I zoomed in so it ended up being this small.
And, ugh, it's slightly different from the image I had in mind gaah. >_<But, ok. I like it enough to post it. Also because this gallery will rot if I never post anything lol

I used Krita to trim the picture, and adjust the hue and levels because it needed a bit more contrast. I also fixed a few mistakes, for instance I moved the eye a little, and other minor fixes.
Actually, I would have gladly done everything in Krita (the program is really growing on me), but I ended up using MyPaint for a couple of reasons... the first reason is that I wasn't really sure where I was going when I started, and the infinite canvas in MyPaint is something that comes really handy in this circumstance, since it lets you sketch randomly without caring about the space. This is one thing that I would love to have in Krita.
The other reason is the blend+paint brush in MyPaint. I tried to tweak the settings of the color smudge in Krita to make it work about the same, it might be that I haven't found the right settings for it yet, but that brush in MyPaint just works beautifully, while I tried a lot to get the color smudge work right just to get something that doesn't really work that nicely. In general, the thing I really would like the most from Krita at the moment is a brush preset that works exactly like the blend+paint one in MyPaint.

I was missing Air, Fire and Death paths when I posted. But I finished Aurelius' path just a couple of minutes ago x) So I have Varian's path and the Death path left. ^^
