This was from awhile ago, It's one of my best. It's a red fox. My favorite part is how the feather itself starts dark and ends light making it look like realistic nightime.Related content

...That is so friggin cool. What paints did you use? Did you come up with this idea yourself?

I used acrylic paints. I hand done all of it using a thin tipped brush. Actually, I saw a cute fox on the internet and thought I'd test my painting abilities of an animal instead of a dragon cause i draw mostly dragons. And painting a fox would have been fun. The base color took about 3 coats cause feathers are like fine hairs and it tend to soak. I never took a painting class in my life. Using my knowledge of using other mediums (such as colored pencil), It was instinct to know how to paint. I'm going to do more feather paintings in the future. I added the earings on the fox's ears.
I've also painted two white tigers with green aurora borialis on a black feather. I'll take a picture of it and post it at some point. My mom has it in a frame and won't take it out. I'll have to find natural light and take flash off of my dad's camera and then take a pic.
