I've started playing 'Vampire Bloodlines - The Masquerade' again (I first tried it a few years ago, but for some reason I thought it was WAY hard... haha) and... I friggin' love that game <3 It's so dystopic and dark and epic.So... I drew some fanart, kind of. The vampire is my player character (with slightly less slutty clothes and slightly different hair) and the redhead is Heather Poe. Their relationship is kind of cute and uh... very disturbing. Heather goes all obsessive over you if you save her life (by letting her drink your blood) and is all "I LOVE YOU ;__; PLEASE LET ME STAY WITH YOU FOREVER AND EVER. ... I CAN FEEEEEL YOUR BLOOOOD INSIIIIDE MEEE....."
And my player character is a Malkavian = batshit insane and only says stuff like "Oooh I can see twinkly sparkly lights and my voices say they like you : D" And she likes Heather because she can drink her blood and because she always wanted a pet but her fishies always died.
... I love this game.

I like to think that she understands we're trying to save her and that even if she doesn't we could find her afterward the Sabat problem since we have a pretty good taste of her over the course of the game.Β I get attached to my play things easily and I don't like giving them up.Β As a Ventrue I imagine she gets very demanding of the rest of the people in her life and I get her set up as a professional dominatrix using that new found power and strength of being a ghoul with the dominate discipline.Β She'll be right on course to join the undead herself one night...Β Thanks for the artwork and that trip down memory lane!
BTW- "she always wanted a pet but her fishies always died" made me laugh so hard!

I bought this game at the beginning of the current Steam Winter sale and have played the h*** out of it thus far. Very nice rendition.

I love this game too, I have played it three times, with a Tremere (my favorite clan), a Gangrel and a Malkavian.

The clothes selection for the female Malkavian in that game was pretty terrible (biker leathers and sunglasses being the best outfit after your starting one).Β
On the plus side, at least her mismatched eyes and pale skin was nicely visually distinctive, some of the other characters didn't really look so much like vampires as 'pale club-goers'.Β And the male Malkavian just looked like a random beach bum.Β

There's something to be said for playing a class whose armour is just stripper outfits, shame for the ladies the male Malkavians weren't wearing the equivalent!

I mostly like the Malks for their craziness, but I'm certainly not complaining about the armor, eheh. (or lack thereof...)
Oh, but the male Malkavians starting outfit is at least...not very dressed. I'm sure quite a few lady fans approve of that, haha.

Yes, it's an RPG, and one of the greatest ever, in my opinion. Of course, it's quite a few years old so the graphics aren't what you see in today's games, but you should definitely try it out if you think you'd like the aesthetics of a dark, dystopic city with macabre plots and bizarre but interesting characters. And great games<3

I do wish they would make up their minds about the World of Darkness MMORPG. But with the clans from the Masquerade being replaced by Requiem, I don't know if I'd be overly fond of it...

Oh yes, Heather. I love her, she's so...cute? But I can't calmly watch her kinda sacrificing herself for my Tremeress (and she also remind me of my dA friend when smiles) so I released her very soon after meeting her in Downtown. I'm too soft-hearted, heh. And I hope she woke up from blood rapture and continued to live her own life (I can't use a girl who reminds me of Martyna!).

I had a really hard time choosing which option I should go with, since letting her die seems like the better one story-wise, I think... but I ended up releasing her before that happened, hahah... And I see why it'd be hard if she looks like someone you know!

Well, you could always side with him if you've been friendly to him the whole game, but if you do that, the ending is a bit... well, I'll just say that I wouldn't choose that, eheh... I totally get what you mean though, and I feel that way about pretty much every character in Bloodlines... even the really annoying characters are so interesting

Aah, it always feels weird when you can't really do what you want in games, but... well, you'll have to choose SOMETHING in the end. But like I said, you won't actually kill LaCroix... kind of. Uhh. You'll see.
I can see that you really appreciate the deeper and more poetic undertones of the game, that's awesome <3 I'm a little tired of people who just play games to level and beat bosses without thinking about the story or the characters at all, so it's nice to see someone else who gets as absorbed in the story and so on. If you ever do write something, and it's in english, I'll be sure to read it!

When I play something I can totally droen into it, especially if the game is such atmospheric as Bloodlines. I'm an impressive person, sometimes it bothers, but in common I even like it. And I don't want to float up from Bloodlines.

got that FEEL, I can get completely absorbed in it, which is usually very inspiring.
So I think you should hold on to your little obsession with Bloodlines, if it
