- Long eyelashes• Personality: Saru is a very expressive person. He loves to use his hands and body to get his message across. Everybody knows him to be happy and laid-back, his positive attitude often cheering up his friends. Although he has several distinct qualities (his athleticism, his theatrics, his love for good books), he doesn't quite fit in to any clique, so he travels from social circle to social circle like a chameleon. He's sensitive and caring to anybody he meets, treating everybody as if they were his friends, which can sometimes be troublesome because his casual attitude doesn't meet the standards of his higher ups. Also, most people don't believe him because he likes to exaggerate things or create fantastical tales to tell his friends, though those close to him know that he tries his hardest not to lie. It's just... difficult for him not to.

When he thinks he's alone, Saru can be very moody and temperamental. Anything that irked him during his day surfaces and he mumbles, pouts, and stomps around, whining. He can be very destructive if he goes through a long enough happy period without rest, which often results in bruises knuckles the morning after. If he's ever caught acting angry, though, Saru gets upset and feels guilty, clamming up. It makes it difficult for him to become extremely close to anybody and he's often left in the background despite his loudness. Those that do notice him and keep him involved find themselves being latched on to. Although he tries not to show it, Saru easily attaches to people who are nice to him, and it's hard for him not to get angry when they're not with him. His possessiveness often leaves him silently seething when his 'chosen ones' hang out with others.

• Background: Saru was always a popular child; he could do sports, was pretty darn attractive, and had loads of friends; but that was all he had going for him most of his life. He was a middle child: his elder sister, Misaki, was in college, studying to be a doctor by the time he hit middle school. Often, his parents compared him to her, telling him to pick up his attitude and start doing something worth while. His little brother, Mayun, had turned out to practically be a genius prodigy, understanding and going beyond his class lessons every moment of his life. Mayun was boosted two grade levels and was close behind him academically wise. It stressed Saru out, and he did try his hardest: he studied every night for hours on end, asked for help from his teachers to understand the topics, but it was never quite good enough. It seemed like he had simply gotten the 'dumb' trait of the family.

When he graduated from school, he left his family behind. He fought with his parents and told them he would make his own life with his own hands, then walked out. He found a small, cozy apartment with two wacky, but really awesome, roommates who'd been willing to let him split rent and stay. Unfortunately, Saru did not have any money to pay his rent. So he would pick up multiple part-time jobs, trying to earn as much as he could. Often times, he barely managed to scrap enough money to pay his share. It stressed him out greatly, so on one of his few moments of rest, his roomies took him to the café, gave him some of their money, and told him not to come home until he was happy again. Needless to say, the relaxing environment piqued his interest, and he approached the manager after his visit, searching for an open position.

It definitely suits him a lot more. He feels much more relaxed than he did in the past.

• Reason for Working at the Cafe: He's getting paid to socialize and flirt; the two things he really likes.

• Position In the Cafe: Waiter. Often talks to customers to see how they're doing.
