My mistake. In the show, they are so far seen producing asexually. But you're right, they are hermaphodites. As for them being plants, I never thought they were as they just came across as how monks consume only what they need to survive. Ok, I also see your point. I haven't watched the series in a while, so my apologies for not knowing they were hermaphroditic. I also never caught the interview with Akira Toriyama and Piccolo's race made me think of them as more as Sea horses. (I know that's not correct. But that's how I thought of them back when I was a kid).Β
