The hypothetical fusion of Peridot and Amethyst, called “Laguna Agate”.

I wanted to use just “Agate”, but the thing is, Agate has so many variations that it can come in pretty much any color, so I finally decided to use a Laguna Agate with some purple and green inclusions, like this one .

From the moment I tried to imagine a fusion between Peridot and Amethyst, I thought that she would probably be a punk-rocker, a true teenage rebel wielding a Keytar/E-Guitar hybrid for a weapon (which I didn’t draw, because I thought it would cover up too much of the design). Peridot and Amethyst are the youngest and most immature full gems of the Crystal Gems, so I feel a fusion would kind of amplify this “youth”, while Amethyst’s wild nature would overrule Peridot’s sense of duty somewhat, and Peridot’s curiosity would only amplify Amethyst’s boundless energy. Add the fact that both, Amethyst and Peridot are rather impulsive and prone to mood-swings, and you get a very high-energy, aggressive physical fighter. Still, I feel this fusion would be less utterly destructive than Sugilite, but more of a devious, foul-mouthed schemer, who confuses and demotivates her enemies and then hits them where it hurts. Not “careful” by any means, but she does have a plan, tricks, aces up her sleeves and is not above fighting unfairly.
