True imagine breaker is the least mystery. As for the invisible thing inside, i doubt it's anything to do with Lucifer, Aliester said that it predates Christianity. The biggest mystery is what stopped the invisible thing. I'm guessing it's Touma's esper ability, a being similar to Aiwass, or the true form of imagine breaker

I think the invisible Thing is what inspired Luzifer's story and a being similar to Aiwass, maybe from a different dimensional plane, seeing that Angels are too similar to Aiwass, this one might be a daemon
and what sealed it again is a being that might have inspired Monotheism

I doubt it's something about modern religion. I'd say its related to the pagans or an older sect from before roman periods, probably Egyptian. Maybe something about the Aeon of Isis. After all Aleister Crowley was a real person, and he wrote about the magic 'theories' used in index. The series is based of some of his work, along with other 'historical' religious accounts. Also if memory serves me right, the Aeon of Isis is based on how humanity perceives reality. Similar to how Ollerus explained imagine breaker.
