worked with levels and added some noise to improve an otherwise flat look. the bicyclist appeared as i had lined up the shot of the wall only. ...no, i didn't ask, and she didn't tell.

This is such a great little candid "snapshot". I'm glad you choose to keep the street signs in the picture for lets us know that this is in Paris but it also gives us a sense of direction...by that I mean that the cyclist is traveling on a certain route and it almost feels like we are there nagivating the city streets, taking a stroll, and managing to view this little slice of life in the flesh. The mural behind the cyclist is perfectly balanced that it makes it appear as if it is balancing on the cyclist basket...and the blue light beam of the mural appears to look like a scarf flapping straight out as it catches the wind. Excellent capture, kudos!

It really does seem that the commuter has no idea that she was in the shot, and I think that's the magic of the piece. It's actually life in action, instead of the boring world of still life. I like this a lot.
