I waited over 1 year for submitting this
This is the December pic for the European Gagoyles fan calendar 2005. I worked on it from August 2004 to November 2004.I had many different concepts for this picture. In the end it became some kind of experiment. It was the very first picture that I made, where the background played the same important role as the characters. Also it was the very first time that I made a background completely with tablet and computer. At first I was tempted to add fireworks cut out from photographs (especially because I wanted them to look as realistic as possible) but finally I decided to draw them by myself. And in the end I'm very very satisfied with how it turned out

Wow, Your fireworks came out wonderfully! I love the way they seem to be coming right at me. I also like the designs for your gargs. They're unique, but no so alien that I couldn't see them appearing right next to Goliath & Co.

It's absolutely stunning, but who is the females character? I recognize Nuit, but I hope you do more with the female so we can find out who she is as well.

I love this picture! Can't believe you were able to wait a whole year to show it off. It's striking, and you did a very good job on the fireworks. I've never seen tatooed gargoyles before(except for in that MGC body art contest). The girl's pose is so natural, her wings just hanging there like she was stopped in mid-walk by the spendor in the sky. Truly a masterpiece.

hey, I remember you sent me the pic of Nuit as reference for our art trade ^_^ now, in its original setting, it makes more sense ;-P at the beginning I thought he was on the top of a castle or something like that.
the fireworks look good, but I'm sure that if they were brighter and ... sharper (the opposite of blurred) they'd be even better ^_^ the gargress on the left is your avatar, isn't she? But I've always seen her with red hair
