A light orangish, soft furred jackal with long, dark red hair, Rena has two pointy ears and sparkly light slate blue eyes. She appears to have a gymnast’s body, being rather slim and curvy and has a short, fluffy tail. Her face has a little fur sticking out from the sides where her muzzle would be.

Attire:
Rena wears a pair of khaki shorts with a special straps on the sides to place her pair of tonfa, as well as two large pockets for her extra gadgets such as a cellphone, communicator, etc. Her top consists of a dark purple t-shirt with a striped slate blue tank on top. Along with her black fingerless gloves, she wears a pair of dark purple and slate blue sneakers that have a shooting star on them, as well as black socks.

Extra Items:

Tonfa / Gun weapons – A pair of specially designed tonfa with shooting capabilities. Tonfa are long sticks with handles at the end, often used as night sticks by police. They are able to rapidly shoot an array of energy bullets at a constant rate. These “bullets” shine with a bright yellowish light, thus giving her the title as “The Shooting Star” because of her starry display. If she will constantly be shoot, her tonfa will be strapped to her arms.

However, in the event that she runs out of power or there’s a problem with its gunning mechanism, she’ll un-strap the tonfa and use them manually. Due to their metal frame, getting hit by one of the tonfa is not a pleasant experience since they can deliver mass amounts of damage when tied in with Rena’s martial arts and physical strength.

Location:
Works at the HG of the E.C.D.C. (Emergency Capture or Disposal of Criminals) with Leon, but like him, her location can vary

Mother – Roxanne Devereux (deceased)
Roxanne died when Rena was at the tender age of 10 from a deadly case of malaria. It was often hard to tell that she was sick since she was a strong woman who cared for her family, even when she was slowly dying. She had confidence in her daughter and supported her husband’s decision to train their child at an early age.

Father – Victor Devereux
Victor is both the father and martial arts trainer of Rena, who raised her after his wife died. An excellent fighter, Victor is a cheerful guy even with the sadness of losing his wife. He usually concerns himself with Rena, wondering if she’s recovered from losing her mother and doing whatever he can to help others. He has been a longtime friend of Leon’s father, Janus, and enjoys nothing more than watching both of their kids grow up.

An optimistic jackal, Rena likes a good adventure and is very brave. Unlike her laid-back friend Leon, she likes to be on the move and puts a lot of effort in everything she does. She’s also more attentive with what’s going on around her and is more focused in her work. It would appear she can be a little bossy with Leon, often telling him off when he gets distracted or scolding him to be more serious and careful.

Due to their fathers being family friends, she and Leon have been together since they were little and they share a sibling like relationship. She loves to joke around with him and has a tendency of calling him “Glenn” just to bother him. Unlike his parents however, Rena respects his name change and actually likes it. She looks out for klutzy Leon, acting as the emotional support for him whenever he needs it.

Her more short tempered side is shown when people criticize her work in weapons. Rena is very intelligent in the fields of weapon engineering and is easily insulted if people “blame her weapons” or by harsh criticism. She also gets annoyed when others leave her behind or keep secrets from her. Sometimes she spaces out or is depressed, and these are the times she looks back at when her mother died. Rena loved her mother very much and the shock of losing her hasn’t disappeared yet.

Despite her sadness, she tried to keep a cheery outlook on life and always tries to be strong like her mother and father. She’s very supportive of others and tries to do whatever she can to help, showing signs of stubbornness when doing so. Rena hates to see others down, often joking around to cheer them up or liven up a dull moment. Don’t let her kind-hearted personality fool you; Rena’s just as deadly as she is lovely and won’t hesitate to beat up someone who harms her family or friends.
