This is amazing!!! I actually do think it is plausible that Misty will return some time in the future, since she has not made an appearance for the longest time and even appeared in flashback at the end of Best Wishes! I still remain a PokeShipper, and I really hope her and Ash get together in the future! I can't help but think what would happen if Misty did meet Serena though, because they both share a canon crush on Ash.Β

Nya, Charizard is in the team, Misty won't ever come back anywhen. There's no place for the old girls in the new stories, don't know why. It's unlogical as everything in the series. Don't ask me. OTL

Well, from Serebii, the first two episodes have been previewed constantly over the past few weeks, and then last week, two more episode titles were released. And guessing by their titles, I'm pretty excited. They've been previewed a bit as well, but just a bit.Β
Yeah. I think it's more of a money thing than what fans want... except the kids. I don't think the writers of the anime listen to other parts of the world other than Japan when it comes to pokemon. They might, but I might be wrong.Β
But so far, from what I'm getting, is that the games XY are trying alot of new things (Mega evos, customization of your character, you can interact with your pokemon), so maybe the anime counterpart will try new things as well. I dunno though, don't go by my point of view. I might be completely wrong and the anime goes back to their normal somewhat boring ways.Β

Now -1 month later- the first episodes are out. I haven't watched them yet. The reason? The fandom. I can't stand the fact AshxSerena may become a couple. It breaks my heart!

Yeah, I really don't want to hate Serena, she seems like a good character. There hasn't been alot of hints, but, I keep telling myself that this is a kids show, and romance hasn't happened for the past 15 years. (Except the Original series... hints. hints everywhere) And then they decide to suddenly throw it at us? Ugh.Β
No matter what, Pokeshipping will be in my heart. It'll never be broken!Β
But I think the only reason their gonna do this is because there's a slight hint in the games, where your rival hints that she likes you *boy or girl, it doesn't really matter*Β

I agree with all of the first part.
The second one is a rumor. I played the game completely and there was nothing pairing-hinted. Only a rival-protagonist-relationship as always. The little girl Sannah says the same texts to Kalem and Serena, not matter, who of the two you're playing. And your "rival" only has the goal to beat you one single time (mine never made it...).
So, there's only pairing-hinted things in some sequences you WANT to see a romance, but there's nothing but friendship-talking-and-interests.
As PokΓ©mon always was and ever will be.
So I don't believe that rumor, only because Serena knows Ash since she was a child, she and him will have something have together with but friendship.

Honestly, I only think Misty'll be in cameos. The Japanese voice actor said she wouldn't be coming back (or retiring, idk) so unless we can get a different, more mature sounding Misty, we can only hope

Well, for one thing, this is my version of the XY. It's part of my headcanon.Β
And yes, I know the Japanese voice actor wasn't coming back (Even if she did come back for one episode to voice Misty for like 3 seconds.) And from a 2008 interview with one of the former writers of the show, he said that Misty will never return as a main character again. Only appear in cameos. And so far, he has been right. Misty had been mentioned in every saga by far, even if it is the smallest things.
But, we older pokeship fans can always hope.Β
