Nestly: A very similar style to this drawing I did:I printed that out onto a large canvas and hung it on my wall. A lady who's dog I was dog-sitting saw it in my living room and later asked if I could do one of her sister's dog who recently passed away.
I wasn't planning on doing any more of these because of the ridiculous amounts of time it takes, but I was inspired and decided to give it a try.
Based on this photo . Using this I cleaned it up using brushes in SAI and adding shines, added effects and such. Took around 6+ Hours.

It was! Kind of redundant at times, but a good experience! Had to really examine lots of close up dog anatomy because the photo I worked off was so blurry, I had to come up with a lot of the details on my own.
