Description
Well, fresh out of jail , without anything but the scars on his face , and after a short pit stop , Axis is paying a visit to and old 'friend' of his to call in a few old favors.This does not bode well for Valence .
I'm not happy with the last panel--could have been WAY more dramatic--but I'm a lazy artist. :U

I like the more subtle dramatic moment. Cuz I'm all about faces and expressions like that. Looks beautiful to me!
And Axis is quite the villainous looking type with his collection of scars. I love how far hi character has come!

Personally, I like all the art but I felt like the word bubbles jumped in, screamed RAWR, and distracted from Axis and Valence.

Yeah, that's probably it. Though I'm guessing 10,000 years in the slammer and the whole Terra thing might have something to do with warping his already cracked-up psyche a bit as well. I don't think he's done a single prank or pop-culture reference since he got out (normally, he'd have done, like, 12 of each by brunch-time).
