EDIT: DAMN THEM SOME PALE LEGS THAR AXIS!! GOOD THING I REMEMBERED MY OWN OC'S COLOR SCHEME....Guess who got to mess around with pen sensitivity today?
Good lord, I spent the entire time listening to this crap on repeat while coloring... A HINT MAYBE?!?! Lord, who knows...
Eeeenywho, this piece concedes with Axis' mission 2 and I'm quite happy keeping this obscure. I love keeping people in the dark--'specially Sanity and Aaron. Hurr hurr...
I've wanted to draw Axis and Clyshot's sleeping arrangements for quite some time now... But, before you attack this piece with "Aw's" and "Kawaii's" (the former will get you shot) let me explain:
Despite all the hell Axis puts the poor kid through, Clyshot does admire and, dare I say, LIKE Axis. He's one of the only cons on base with an all access pass to Axis' closed-door work ethic and even then he's still left in the dark.
That, and it's MUCH safer just sharing a berth then risking your life on the floor around the piles of miscellaneous junk Axis keeps in his room...
Axis, on the other hand, would much rather just keep something he's put a lot of time and effort into safe. I would not mistake this for fatherly love--or ANY kind of love at ALL, for that matter--from Axis. Assuming he holds something that is not Terra or himself near and dear is a huge mistake. If something has no use to him, he will drop it like drunk hooker with AIDS; be it an item or another person.
Just to line up the facts so far:
Axis will be traveling to Earth
Terra will be making an appearance
There will be a glance into Axis' past
Skidlock , Axis' older brother, is coming back
Clyshot will be a key piece to the ending
The ending is not a happy one
Yeah... you heard me. C:<

I love that even if Axis doesn't love Clyshot, he can tolerate him enough to protect him...and let him sleep like that. While it isn't meant to be, it is still a cute, yet intense, moment between these two.

When I discovered that from a tut I had hours o fun. You put it to good use and made a great paint with it! This is really cute. I've always admired stories with loving characters and such. I love how Cly looks tired from what I'm guessing was a hard day, while Axis looks like he's thinking how he's gonna brandish that weapon of his xD
But really I think those two emotions go well together

lol, Cly does a lot of Axis' dirty work around the base. If Axis doesn't want to see to something personally, he sends Cly to do it. xD

It's a cute yet disturbing scene. I can't help but feel concerned foy Clyshot being asleep around Axis.

Psh, don't. Axis isn't gonna hurt Cly and they both know this is much safer than falling asleep around eachother and on the berth than around and of the teetering and odd piles of junk Axis keeps around.

I've pretty much come to terms with the fact I'm going to hate your mission 2, whatever happens, because of Cly... and yet I morbidly still want to know what it is.
However, This piece is so gorgeously peaceful, I can't help but adore it. I love the soft almost blurry texture of it.... aaaaand Clyshot looking sleepy is melting my heart like a little tea light candle.
