I was at Ratapalooza yesterday and bought a few little ones from you. One in particular I chose because it looked like my boy Dexter, the rat who hated his broccoli. It was only when we were out with friends later that she showed me a couple of rats she had purchased and the tiny little broccoli florets too. I can't believe i didn't notice the broccoli on the stall. Do you sell the broccoli separately, and if so how do I go about purchasing some?

I just can't imagine how you smudge differently colored clays together and still save the patterns well... 
Does the chalk pastel keep well in the undried clay or do you put it there after baking? I could try with soft pastels someday, because I want to do some natural agoutis also.

I take a very thin amount of the marking color that is a similar shape to the marking I am trying to copy. I place it onto the body then use a rubber tipped tool to smudge it into the correct shape. I then use the metal part of the rubber tipped tool to smooth the surface of the body and markings. I only put the chalk pastels onto un-cured/un-baked clay otherwise it would not stick.

Thanks... I try with some sculpting tools also; I still think that my clay is so rubber-like that it just can't be smudged perfectly if I place something on the smooth surface.

Don't be scared just tell people what your doing or just film you making one so we can get the general idea. I tired to make one. Don't think it turned out well.

I think you have a very good start. Did you paint it?
It may help to only use polymer clay.
