From looking at the girl on the left, you'd never think she's been through what she's been through. Looking at the x-ray on the right, you'd never suspect it is the same girl. Well, it is. And it is me. I had severe scoliosis (abnormal curvature of the spine). I had two curves in my spine, both over 60 degrees. It was extremely painful, and it was difficult to breathe. Now, 7 months after my surgery, I am able to swim, walk, lie down, sleep and do daily things without the severe pain I had before. Now, I can breathe without pain. I no longer have to worry about making sure I took pain medication in the morning, so I wouldn't pass out from the pain later in the day.
