Pen and pencil draw of the the 5 characters most responsible for the magic forces on ff8 world.Left from right:
Adel - tyrant witch who have roled the great city of Esther for long years and imprisioned in a satellite by rebels to end up the terror.
Edea - before responsible for an orphanage, then received the powers to became the next witch in order to protect the children from a certain witch from the future ending up possessed by her.
Ellone - She is not a wicth, but was always persecuted since her childhood by the witches because of her strange power to control the time in the peoples mind.
Rinoa - one of the protegonists of the story and the next witch after edea, although she doesn´t really want to became one.
Ultimecia - the witch from the future and the true antagonist of the story. Possesing verious witches from the past, her objective is the called "time compression" to became a god. A theory came up (with very good evidences) that this witch is maybe actually RINOA, that without a knight at her side she became an evil sorceress surching for her beloved one. This is one of the reasons why i love this Final fantasy!

I really don't believe in the theory of Linoa becoming Ultimecia. Don't get me wrong, it's certainly an interesting one and it would give Ultimecia some depth but it doesn't hold up once you look at it in detail as the major "evidence" backing up that theory seems to come from people missing or forgetting important aspects of the story.

This is one of the most impressive ff8-fanarts I've seen. You've really captured the essence of the characters, especially Adel and Ultimecia. Feels like I want to make this my wallpaper

i love the rinoa-is-ultimecia-theory and believe it too. ff8 will always be my first and most loved video game.

no, no. she was persecuted by adel in the begining and searched aswell by edea because of her power. she even have a time machine with her name in the future.
in some way she takes a critical role in the story and is who have suffered more with this, thats why she is crying.

Imagine: the time compression (she can controll time and peoples mind!!), she is equally conected to squal since she is his sister, she have been in the orphanage in childhood (place were the castle was made!)

even if square says that is a fake theory, they stiil came up with more evidences about this and is blowing the peoples mind completely.

well, i like that couple a lot, to be true.
the things is, square negates the theory itself but they keep putting more reason to believe it (im talking about dessidia, were ultimecia says "lets dance" to squall, like rinoa did when they first meet).
