done in pencilthose who have known me since first starting drawing tf fan art, or even people that have visited my website, might recognize this:

after flipping through my folder of art at the side of my desk i stumbled over the inked drawing, and thought to myself how i would approach the drawing differently now two years after drawing the original. it's interesting seeing the evolution of your own art, and at the same time finding out things that you still do to this day.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do something to help Transformers return back to the glory days!!! i really miss seeing fresh manga style Transformers art. dislike what idw did with it! After the collapse with DW, Transformers went downhill with IDW, the movies and Transformers Animated/Prime... thanks for invigorating me with your art, Transformers belong manga-style!

And I'm not just saying this since Soundwave is one of my favorites. Ravage and Laserbeak (well, I'm guessing it's Laserbeak, since he's much more famous then Buzzsaw) kickbutt... too bad Ratbat is absent... the other cassettes of Soundwave never appeared in the comic or cartoon (from what I know... then again, in the cartoon there was a brief scene with Slugfest and Overkill), so they not being here is understandable. And the Seekers in the back are a nice touch.
This'll be my last comment for the time being, but I'll be sure to drop by later and finish going through your gallery.

how your artstyle changes over time , and so much so that you dont even realize it until years down the line ...it makes your jawdrop whe you do come to the fact 
i think ravage is the best
and the pose for Rumble ,
people need more RUMBLE ^^
i think he was underplayed in the series in general .

This is absolutely fantastic... it's dynamic and exciting, while remaining very toy-accurate, which is how I try to make my drawings... granted, you pull yours off a heck of a lot better than I do, but I am completely impressed (read that blown away) by this.

Soundwave and his cassettes always intriuqued me as a kid. Seeing this drawing makes me feel the same excitement I felt for him in my childhood.

Wow! I remember when you did the first one, and if I remember right Josh colored it. Soundwave has always been my favorite ( I even have a pretty big tattoo of him with laserbeak on my forearm).
Any chance you'd let some colorists take a stab at it? Or is this something for DW?

Ya know NG, my dream of becoming on par with you and beamer seems to be a HUGE uphill battle. I love the challenge. Anyway, on to critiquing. You've improved quite a few leaps judging this pic from the old soundwave pic. The details are way better, as is the perspective. Very nice.

I still like the original much better. Unfortunately, with the ground being so close to SW feet, I just wonder why he's in the "alien abduction" pose that he's in. For those that don't see what I'm talking about, look at the area where Ravage is running, and then compare it to where SW is "floating" up, it just looks weird. But that's my opinion and maybe just my optics. Still looks flippin' awesome, NG, you rock my faceplate off!

whoa, you're right, the defference two years makes is massive and I guess drawing em all the time really speeds things up. The new pic even has better composition. And hey the jets in the background is a nice touch, great work!

Yeah I just had to compare it side by side. No need to say your art is superb cause it was from the former pic already ^^ But what really interested me was, like you said, the evolution of of your art. Didnt really see a drastic 'style' change but rather the drawing itself became more detailed and complicated. By looking at the newer one you dont really notice it, yet if you compare it, its really noticable.

You have an amazing understanding of robot anatomy...if that makes any sense, i love how you did this, especially after recently going back and watching much of the first season of transformers again, it's amazing to see wonderfully technical drawings of some of the coolest characters.
