Haha, surprisingly no! I actually had to look up sloth bears because I didn't know what they were. Weird!! The claws are based on something that happened to my cat when her claws weren't cut, they'd grow around in a big circle.

Also, I love that thing's claws, they look like carved claws for necklace pendants.
