Swindown Works, 1973, and a big diesel is sitting in the works. All of a sudden, he notices a man walking up to him.

"Ah! You must be the diesel I'm looking for"

"Oh uh... hi there sir!"

"My name is Mr. Boomer and you must be erm..."

"Cockade sir, the name's Cockade"

"Cockade? Well nice to meet you Cockade"

"Mind if I ask sir, why are you here?"

"Well Cockade, I'm the owner of an Ironworks company on the Isle of Sodor and..."

"You're not scrapping me sir are you?! Is that why you're here?!"

"Oh no! I'm not here to scrap you Cockade"

"Oh thank god!"

"Quite the contrary, in fact"

"What do you mean sir?"

"How would you like to work at my Ironworks?"

"Oh sir! I would be honoured sir!"

"Great! I'll inform your owner and we'll get the papers signed"

"Oh sir! Thank you!"

"No problem Cockade"

The man walked away, leaving the big diesel excited for his new job. As the man started to walk towards the offices, their associate started to speak up.

"Well boss, how did it go?"

"The big git's up to it!"

"Did you mention the procedure to him?"

"Of course not! It would've put him off!"

"But you will tell him eventually right boss?"

There was a long silence

"Right?"

Mr. Boomer didn't reply.

BTW this (and the previous sprite scene ) are testers for a potential storyline that I'd like to write in regards to the Killdane Ironworks. If you would be interested in seeing more of this do please let me know.

(Also big thanks to for helping me with some aspects of the writing and for giving me some very useful tips which I'll be sure to utilise for future sprite scenes)
