Lugus has a freind? Interesting! So could he have been the one who tormented Anzu after Aisha's death?

And it just keeps getting better. But I can't really comment seeing as how others have already said what needs to be said.

Thank you. Looking back at this, it really means a lot to me. I'm sorry I neglected to reply when you first commented.

This was badass. I love it when you go into "preachy" mode and cause psychological harm on the preds. Moar plz.

"Unexpected" barely covers this. I'm not entirely sure what to say, regarding the fact that you were moved or inspired into doing this. It's certainly a very moving, poignant response, and it adds something to that moment of the story.
Within the story of course Ajab's thoughts and feelings are in turmoil, but it would indeed need an outside intervention to push them onto that track. The fact that Lugus is making some genuine points, which Remus for instance might have made in different circumstances, but that he's making them out of malevolence, is also interesting. At a time when it wouldn't take much to cause a lot of emotional harm to Ajab. (Incidentally, the large picture of him looking up at the night sky, and thus into space, is a good touch.)
Jissy facing Roshan's empty shelter, while hugging her eggs close (in the rain), is particularly moving - and meaningful. They are indeed what she has left, and if she was frightened for their safety before, you can imagine how she feels now. They're the focal point of her existence while she tries to come to terms with what's happened.

This brings up a good point. Frenchsnack did not actually write that it was really Roshan who was eaten by the harpy, just someone who might have been.

Woah. That's pretty deep. I know that Lugus is an asshole, but he hit the nail right on the head. I haven't gotten that far in Frenchsnack's stories and I had a particular attachment to Jissy and Roshan. To think that Roshan might be dead makes me incredibly sad to think about it due to Jissy's mobster upbringing. However, to think that he may be alive somehow, fills me with hope. I've seen your journal entry and I don't think that Frenchsnack would mind this. In fact, he may be happy that somebody put it in this perspective. To be honest, I've been thinking the exact same thing that all persons in the universe are equals, no matter the size and that most giants see themselves as the superior creature. I know this can't be helped, because of Felarya's purpose of existance, but we're looking at this in a realistic point-of-view even though Felarya is a fantasy world. This can't be helped either because of our human nature since we tend to look at things this way. Anyhow, this was a fantastic read! I'm hopelessly far behind in Frenchsnack's stories, but thanks for this. I highly enjoyed this bonus story and I can't wait for more Band of Blades.

A shadow creature that feeds upon the misery of others. And the way he does it is absolutely perfect; exactly as he described as a delicate dish that he doesn't want to overdo. Great story.
