I love the contrast in this picure, between the dessous and the leather jacket. And I don't know why, but I think her red lips are in a total contrast to her nose piercing.

I've tried to do some shots with smoke myself, but I can never get it that visible.

Yes, it is real smoke. You should put a light source, against your camera to succeed this visibility.

Hahah!! No my friend. You should use YOUR source light (studio flash, speedflashes, lamps e.t.c) I got 3 studio flashes on this picture. One on the model, one spotting to the background,and one spotting the back of the head of the model (that's why the smoke is so visible).
